Also in Escondido you’ll find the Westfield North County Mall and historic Downtown Escondido. To the south, Poway is home to the Old Poway Park, the Poway Center for the Performing Arts, Blue Sky Ecological Reserve, and Lake Poway, where you can fish, hike, and camp. Local San Diego wineries abound in Escondido’s San Pasqual Valley, Poway, and Ramona.
Rancho Bernardo is located inland, along both sides of the I-15 corridor. The weather in Rancho Bernardo tends to be warmer than along the coast and many homes have A/C or backyard pools to help you keep cool in the hot summer months.
